Huawei Mate 20 Pro – Best Smartphone and Huawei Mate X – Best New Connected Mobile Device @MWC2019
Huawei creates history at the MWC 2019. Huawei Mate 20 Pro won the “MWC2019 Best Smartphone Award”, HUAWEI Mate X won the “MWC2019 Best New Connected Mobile Device”. This is the first time Huawei has won an award on the international stage at MWC. The award is a special award established by MWC19 organizer GSMA to recognize the contribution of new or upcoming mobile products to future pioneering technologies.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro won the “MWC2019 Best Smartphone Award”:
The Global Mobile Awards are nominated and selected by the MWC organizer GSMA, which includes the “Best Smartphone” award. Huawei Mate 20 Pro has won the “Best Smartphone” under the mobile device category. The finalists for the award include iPhone XS Max, Google Pixel 3, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, One Plus 6T and Samsung Galaxy Note 9

Huawei Mate 20 Pro is the flagship mobile phone launched in 2018, with a three-camera setup at the rear. The phone rules the DxOMark mobile rear lens camera list. In addition, the Mate 20 Pro is powered by a 7-nanometer Kirin 980 processor that supports 40 watts of fast charge technology and 15 watts of wireless fast charge.
HUAWEI Mate X won the “MWC2019 Best New Connected Mobile Device “:
5G and Foldable screen are the two buzz words at this year’s MWC2019. There were a lot of 5G phones and foldable phones showcased. On the other hand, Huawei Mate X combines both technologies which left a deep impression on the Jury. Thus Huawei’s Mate X bagged the award in this category.
GSMA CEO John Hoffman presented the award saying: ”We congratulate all the winners and nominees of the 2019 GSMA Global Mobile Awards, which has been carefully selected by a strong jury of industry authorities to recognize breakthrough innovation and creativity that drive industry growth. It is an amazing achievement.”
Huawei Mate X Highlights:
Huawei’s folding screen phone adopts an outward folding method. It is officially called the eagle-wing folding design. The screen is 8 inches in size and is equivalent to a tablet computer. In addition, it also built a Barron 5000 modem to support 5G networks.
