Huawei Mate 30 Pro to launch with Kirin 985 processor. According to the latest news, Huawei is preparing to launch a new 7nm processor in the first half of 2019. Kirin 985 is the successor of Kirin 980.
According to the source, Huawei plans to launch the latest Kirin processor in the first half of this year. Application Processor (AP) is manufactured using 7-nm (EUV) ultra-violet. The processor mounts on the Huawei Mate 30 flagship series.
TSMC will manufacture the latest Kirin Processor. Kirin 980 production was on a large scale by TSMC using a 7-nanometer processor. TSMC is also eager to mass-produce the latest Kirin processor by using the 7-nm EUV process.
Taiwan’s TSMC recently completed the construction of a semiconductor design infrastructure for 5nm processors.
Huawei’s Kirin 980 is a 64-bit high-performance mobile ARM LTE SoC designed by Huawei HiSilicon. It was launched in August 2018.
